2009 APNO Officers and 2008 APN of the Year
December 10, 2008
Yearly Business Meeting was held on November 11. At that
meeting, Melissa Penkalski, out-going Past President of APNO,
announced the following new officers for 2009:
President-Elect: Janice Jones
Secretary: Sharon Giboney has agreed to continue as secretary for another term.
Treasurer: Anita Evangelista has agreed to continue as treasurer for another term.
Candi Griffin, current President, will move to the Past
President position.
Jody Kates, current President-elect, will move to the
President position.
We want to thank Melissa Penkalski, for her hard work and dedicated service to APNO.
In addition, the 2008 Advanced Practice Nurse of the Ozarks
was announced. The award goes to SHARON GIBONEY. This award
is bestowed on a member who has contributed to the Advanced
Practice Nurses profession through involvement in APNO,
mentoring students, etc. It is voted on by the membership.
If you would like to become involved in APNO
activities/committees, please contact one of the executive
board or committee chairman. It is a richly rewarding
experience.
