A message from the APNO Conference Chairperson:

Dear Colleagues,

It is my pleasure to present the 13th annual Advance Practices Nurses of the Ozarks Conference: Caring Cradle to Grave. We are anticipating a wonderful variety of speakers and topics based on your conference evaluation suggestions. We are pleased to have again this year Wendy Wright, MS, RN, ARNP, FNP, FAANP as a preconference and general session speaker. We hope you will take advantage of the seasonal opportunities Branson has to offer, as we usher in the holiday season this year. Get a head start on the holidays with Branson shopping, take in the Festival of Lights, or enjoy the events at Silver Dollar City. To learn more about Branson during the holidays visit www.explorebranson.com.

New this year is a limited registration workshop. This workshop will allow participants hands on experiences and in depth discussion of the ENT evaluation. We are increasing the total available credit hours to 19.6 when you attend all 3 preconference sessions and the poster presentations. Register early to take advantage of all the credit hours available in this year’s conference. Everyone who registers before September 30, 2011 will be entered into our Early Registration Drawing for a complimentary registration to the 2012 APNO Conference. Register early to be entered into this drawing, and to obtain the best rates at the Chateau on the Lake, a AAA four diamond luxury hotel.

We will again be providing participants with a CD syllabus. We hope you will enjoy the convenience of the CD and the concise format that it provides as a future reference. We have also included as a cart item a printed syllabus for you to purchase if you would like a paper copy in addition to your CD. Add this item during registration to ensure your paper syllabus is available. Please note that in order to receive a printed syllabus, you MUST add this item to your registration and prepay.

Please take time to look over this year’s outstanding conference sessions. Registrations can be completed online or via mail. I look forward to seeing you in Branson this November.

Kim McGinn-Perryman, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, Conference Chairperson

What can I learn?

Our goal is to select topics that are informative, timely, and relevant to your daily practice. We offer content to meet the needs of not only the family/adult practitioner, but those APN's in pediatric or women's health settings also. Click here to view the descriptions of the educational sessions offered this year.

Who will be presenting?

We seek out experts from a wide variety of backgrounds to present our conference sessions. We strive to have a mix of both APN and physician faculty each year. Click here to view details about this year's faculty.

We also love to learn from our attendees! We have incorporated poster presentations into our annual conference, where attendees share their research findings with other APN's. It is a wonderful opportunity to network and keep up with the latest research topics. Poster presenters are offered a discounted registration rate. Click here to learn more about participating in our poster presentations.

Why should I attend?

We know you have lots of options when it comes to attending educational conferences. The members of the APNO conference planning team know what APN's are looking for in a conference, because we are practicing APN's ourselves. APNO is a local group of APN's from Southwest Missouri. We began offering this conference 13 years ago as a way for our members to network and earn continuing education credits. Each year, our conference grows as past attendees spread the word of our continued success. We are now proud to be a well-respected regional educational offering. Click here to learn more about our target audience, conference objectives, and accreditation as a provider of CEU's.

Looking for replacement CEU certificates from prior conferences?

Please email your name, phone, and fax number with the year of attendence to conference@apno.net, so we can fax you a certificate copy.
